Organised by Lalitha Sundaram, Tom Hobson and Alex Klein, this one day workshop will bring together experts from UK civil society to discuss developments in biological security governance in the wake of the Ninth RevCon. The workshop will be a space for general reflection on the state of play of major international treaties and the role of the UK and civil society expertise, within and alongside them.
More specifically, the workshop will focus on building discussion on the following topics: current and future challenges for biological security governance and the BWC, and the UK’s place within this, through various fora, including the refreshed (and currently still forthcoming) Biological Security Strategy.
