The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) and the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk (CSER) invite applications for a Centre Administrator to lead the Department's professional services support team.

The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (CFI) and the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk (CSER) are highly interdisciplinary research centres working on many of the most pressing issues of our modern world. Research at CFI is focused on the challenges and opportunities posed by the future development of artificial intelligence (AI), in both the short and long term, whilst CSER's research focuses on the identification, management and mitigation of possible extreme and existential risks associated with human activity.

The Role

CFI and CSER together function as a Department within the School of Arts and Humanities. The Administrator role is a key member of both Centre's senior management teams (with the Directors), and is responsible for the overall administration of all the Centres' programmes and projects. The Administrator is responsible for ensuring the delivery of professional support in the areas of Governance and Planning, Research Management, Financial management, Human Resource management, Programme and Project administration and Communications (internal and external relations).

The successful candidate will be educated to A level or above, proficient with IT to support administration, a confident communicator, experienced team leading with good problem solving skills, experienced in organising and managing events and resources and familiar with working in a research/teaching environment.
