Shivam works chiefly on the application of AI methods and the use of computation across various academic disciplines. At CSER, he works under the supervision of Dr Shahar Avin and Dr Jess Whittlestone on agent-based simulation of AI research. He also works on developing deep reinforcement-based learning methods to study fair and ethical AI Policy.
Shivam is a final year undergraduate student majoring in Computer Engineering from Nirma University in India. He was a visiting researcher at Mila under Prof Yoshua Bengio working on the Climate Change AI Project in summer 2019. Before that, he was at Caltech working with Prof David Van Valen developing deep learning techniques for Real-time 3D Segmentation for cell segmentation in florescence microscopy.
