The Big May Ball Appeal - Coronavirus (The Big MAC) was set up after Easter term in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic to raise money via refunds from Cambridge May Ball tickets. The donation to the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk will fund research into the prevention of future pandemic preparedness and prevention.
