The Centre for the Study of Existential Risk (CSER) is advertising a 9 month Postdoctoral Research Associate position on 'Horizon-Scanning and Foresight for Extreme Technological Risks' in our Managing Extreme Technological Risks programme (funded by the Templeton World Charity Foundation).

Work will include developing and refining our web-based register of extreme technological risk ( http://www.x-risk.net ), including leading an associated expert elicitation process and more broadly investigating the utility of a range of horizon-scanning and foresight techniques and methodologies for early detection of extreme technological risks, and, where appropriate, how these might be matched with management options.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 10 April 2018. Interviews on 20 April 2018.
